Tribulations of the Heart

I think I've known God for almost as long as he's known me. I can't remember a time I did not feel his presence. Although just like any other Christian, I went through trials and tribulations to learn his power and majesty. I think I grew to love him when he spoke to me. I was a troubled lonely young woman recently divorced and separated from my children when I heard him speak to me in clear voice that could only be from God. I've never heard his voice again in that manner. Now the Holy Spirit guides and comforts me. What he said to me was quick and simple. He told me he loved me. That was enough for me. I knew that everything would be all right, and I had nothing to fear in this life. It took me ten more years to totally submit to his will. Now I understand how simple his plan is for my life and every Christian's life. I've learned to obey and to submit to his words in the bible. Many years ago, I began writing a prayer journal to try and keep track of all the things God had done for me. After some time had passed I would reread what was written to see what prayers had been answered. Often times, I was pleasantly surprised by the passages in the journal. I began to like what I had written which gave me the confidence to write something for others to read. God really works in mysterious ways. My need to express myself to God in writing became my training for writing a novel. The story of Tribulations of the Heart: An Over the Top Love Story flowed from me like the Mississippi River. I never knew what the characters were going to do next. It  was a gift from the Spirit. I pray that the readers realize that God wants each and every one of us to have a life worth living. I want the reader to realize that God is freedom. I pray they realize just as I have, that love does not hold you down. Love holds you together.
