I realized after writing my first book, or perhaps in the process of, that I fell in love with story telling and imagination when I was a kid. I used to dream up scenarios with fabulous characters and adventures all the time. My drawings always had stories embedded within them, and my action figures had rich and elaborate back stories, complete with betrayal, love, and family squabble. Discovering fantasy books was an important drive for my creativity and after a couple years, the ideas began to pour in. A few years later, and 10 to 12 rough drafts later, I had come up with the basic ideas that would become my first series: Adepts and Demons.
Over the years of writing, I have been influenced by all of my passions, health, healing, acceptance of self, anger, martial arts, exercise, the beauty inherent to nature, and the power of personal self expression. I think my writings are all an exploration of the nature of human potential and creativity. What people are capable of, and why?
Currently I manage a chiropractic practice, and am a busy family man, with my wife Laelle (married in 2007), my son Ari (2009), and my daughter Kira (2013).
