Gary joined the Marine Corps in 1966 and headed off to Vietnam where he would serve from December 1966 to January 1968 with the "F Troopers" of Foxtrot Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Time Fighter is a 90 page, laminated, soft cover, 6"x9", perfect bound book that contains 44 pages of color photos as well as many b/w images. The author relives Operations Foster, Desoto, Deck House VI, Arizona, Sierra and Union and provides the reader with everyday life at Duc Pho, Chu Lai, Nam-O Bridge, Hill 190, the Esso plant, and Hill 10. Time Fighter is the story of one Marine's time in Nam. Time Fighter was originally released in 1985. This revised 2012 edition sports a new cover with a fresh revised text and enhanced color photos. Many additional photo have been added to make it a new stand alone edition.
About the author
The author was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966 and served on active duty until 1972. He served as an 0311 (infantry rifleman) in Vietnam from December 1966 to January 1968 with Foxtrot Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. He received his BA in History from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. The author and his wife currently reside in Raymore, Missouri.
