There she goes again, thinking. It was a burning curiosity that caused Alice to discard all reason and chase a White Rabbit with pink eyes. There she was lazily daydreaming, when suddenly … Alice even admits that although it all seemed natural at the time, she should have taken the time to wonder. Unfortunately, curiosity got the better of her. Off she scurried to follow the White Rabbit across a field that led to a large rabbit-hole – a rabbit-hole of unknown mysteries – a rabbit-hole that she hoped would offer her new excitement, satisfy her curiosity and end her boredom. The rabbit-hole was intriguing, but she didn’t stop to consider that it might take her to a place where she really hadn’t intended to go, a place that, at first glance, seemed enchanting, but which she would soon discover was not at all to her liking.
Somewhere along my life’s journey, I became curious and sleepy and stupid and found some rabbit-holes inviting. I didn’t stop to consider. I just decided to follow a White Rabbit (or two). It wasn’t intentional. It wasn’t planned. It just happened. Like Alice, I found myself on an unexplainable search, looking for that elusive secret to life, the mystery of being all that I could be, the key to winning friends and influencing people, that hidden formula for the successful life. I knew there had to be White Rabbits out there that were willing to show me the way. I just had to find them. And suddenly, standing in a bookstore, I saw a White Rabbit right in front of me...
