Description
Through the Desert
is a soulful inner journey of discovery, reflection, movement, triumph and homecoming. The desert can be a barren place; yet, can hold the seed of oasis for the spiritual traveler yearning for the inner passage of Remembrance.
Whilst traversing the depth of the dark night of the Soul in a small cabin in the woods, Elissabeth awakened a lantern of true discovery within. The desert was her metaphor for the vast emptiness of the unknown solitary sojourn, filled with both thorns and blossoms.
In 1994, the visions came through dreamtime & the silent presence of the forest -which was no less than a two year vision quest. Perhaps I would entitle this the 'hero's journey', as my days were immersed in solitude, simple living and the healing movement of "chopping wood and carrying water". This rustic cabin in the woods lent itself to deep introspection, tears of reveal, and unbridled growth that continues to emerge daily. The rich octaves of the 'dark night of the soul' mimic the traversing of steps across a barren desert. It was here, that I found my wings of great courage. It is with deepened humility and joy, that I might offer inspiration to others as they embrace their journey of true Remembrance.
May these tapestries of movements weave a dance of the heart and soul that uplifts and inspires -each to grasp the bounty of Being alive.
