Overview
It only takes small statements to drive big change. If you want to flip your thinking in a new direction, improve your mental health, or just let off some steam— this is the book for you. "Three Little Words to Look at Things a Little Differently" will make you cry, laugh, and fume all at once, but that just means it's working as planned.
Description
Here you'll find that it takes only SMALL statements to shimmy both your mind and thinking about things (and sometimes in a BIG way). The hope of this book is to make you laugh a lot, cry a little, get a bit uncomfortable and, honestly, it may make you mad (but only to get you back to being really glad again). If you feel more yes's than no's and more smiles than frowns while reading this book, then it has served its purpose. Try going with the flow better than you ever did before. Why? Because you're definitely worth it! Be Happy! Be Brave! Be You!
About the author
All of us try our best to age gracefully, to live our lives with the greatest of ease and not stress if we devour two yummy, scrummy cupcakes along the way! Right? Yes, because life is hard and cupcakes make it better! We all start out thinking what "normal life" is supposed to be - the house, the car, the husband who works while the wife stays home with little "Johnny and Susie" and their dog, "Sparky". Welp, turns out Terri "Lovie" Delaney didn't quite live that life. She grew up in a close-knit Philadelphia (Yo Philly!) neighborhood where love and loyalty remain synonymous, as does the city's best-known necessities of the one and only Mummers' Parade, world-famous cheesesteaks, hoagies, Tastykakes and the Philadelphia Eagles! (No wonder she's always hungry and, take note, she only favors football – GO EAGLES!). Fast forward to today and here's Lovie (her preferred name) in her fabulous, sometimes fragile 50's, wondering where the time went, what the hell is happening and how did she get here (she shakes her head on a daily basis)! Lovie's little book here has been quietly tucked away while she worked oh so very hard at the "normal 9 to 5" gig for 35+ years (which, in hindsight, felt more like 3,500+ years). After going through deeply, heartbreaking experiences some years ago, the low road from "Oh, hell no" back to the high road of "Oh, hell yeah" helped Lovie hoist up those big girl panties and work on who and what now means the most – herself, her unquestionable love for "Hubbles", true friends and inspiring writings (of cards, "Just Taking a Minute" blurbs and future creations, so stay tuned). She has an eternal love of the Jersey Shore, Clearwater Beach, Florida, four-legged furry friends (she's a Certified Pet Specialist for dogs and cats), and her insanely sane love of chocolate, pizza, seafood oh, and the occasional rum and coke. "Three Little Words…" whether good, bad or ugly is what it took to turn herself around, where the grass is actually greener on the other side! Her side! And she invites you to come over any time as long as you play nice, play fair and bring chocolate!
