This book is made up of a collection of poems that were inspired by the author's life. Each poem in this book holds a special place in the author's heart. Any time she writes a poem, she creates from raw emotion, and her work is always meaningful to her. Every word she uses is placed with intent, and every phrasing structure is done with precision. The author hopes that with every poem she writes, her emotions, and her point of view is displayed. This book is only a snapshot of what the author has to say, but she hopes that her words reach across the world.

I'm a 28 year old, black female and writing is my life. I grew up with my fair share of struggles, but writing was always my safe haven. I would turn to a piece of paper and pen or pencil at my darkest times. Creativity has run deep in my family for generations, so expressing myself through poetry always came natural to me. I grew to love writing, and soon it became my passion. I've been writing for years now in different genres such as Poetry, Urban Fantasy, Romance, Adventure/Action, LGBTQ, and Paranormal/Supernatural. This will be my first published book, and I had the best time writing it. Poetry is such a huge umbrella for creativity, and that's what I love most about it. I look forward to publishing more books in the future!
