About the author
Lauren Herring passionately leads IMPACT Group as CEO, where she has transformed the company into a global leader in supporting employees and their families through personal and professional transitions. Lauren officially joined IMPACT Group in 2001 as an account manager; however, relocation has been in her blood ever since her mom, Laura, started the company back in 1988. She looks back fondly on her early days of collating relocation kits for families for a dime a piece. Over the years, these collated kits evolved into This Side Up!
During her time leading IMPACT Group, Lauren has acquired two other woman-owned companies focused on helping families successfully relocate globally. She has also added to the company’s core competency of coaching to build a leadership development practice, and has taken the company global, with services currently available in over 60 countries.
Lauren has been awarded the prestigious Game Changer Award by Workforce Magazine, and Most Influential Women Award by the St. Louis Business Journal. She also received the Global HR Innovator of the Year Award, presented by GlobalHR Magazine. She is an internationally recognized speaker on the topic of career development and global mobility, has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine, and has published in HR Executive and GlobalHR Magazine, among others. She is fluent in Spanish, and prior to joining IMPACT Group, Lauren worked in economic development in Puerto Rico.
Lauren holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor’s in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame. Lauren is on the Board for the St. Louis Regional Chamber, where she is excited to support the economic development of the St. Louis community. She is also on the Board of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, COCA (the Center of Creative Arts), and Connections to Success, where she dedicates her expertise, resources and time to making a difference in her community and others’ lives..
At the time of the launch of This Side Up, Lauren is embarking on the next phase of her life, and is thrilled to have Ted and Kennedy by her side from this point forward.
