'This [20's+30's] Generation': FITTED FOR THE TIMES

To This Present 20's+30's Generation: "Go and make disciples of all nations . . . " Jesus couldn't have stated it more simply in giving His Church her singular mission until His return. Not only did He give us our singular mission, He gave us a simple church "model" to carry the mission forward. Yet, some 2000 years later, a massive work remains before the Church. Not only does a massive work remain, this present 20's+30's generation has overwhelmingly exited today's traditional church model. Other models are desperately needed. I believe Christ's followers of this present 20's+30's generation are particularly "Fitted For The Times" to lead the way forward in developing another model--field churches--to carry the mission to their local fields. And to fields everywhere. You will discover that the only way to develop and initiate field churches to fulfill Christ's mission is to do it "on the go!" That's where He promises to be present. Will you go in loving obedience to the One who calls you to follow Him?

This Field Guide will take you on a journey, directed by 3 guideposts: Guidepost I: LifeMission Guidepost II: LifeMission Means Guidepost III: LifeMission Map "LifeMission" will unwrap the comprehensive nature of Jesus' command to "make disciples," while "Means" will focus primarily on the vehicle for carrying Jesus' mission. "Map" will offer direction for carrying the mission to fields everywhere. This guide will give you a means to communicate and share with other field churches, everywhere. Here, you will be able to give and receive encouragement in the early pioneering stages and thereafter. "Together" is powerful. Forward this site to your friends and social media contacts so they too can begin pioneering field churches wherever they are, wherever they go. Through this guide, I hope to offer direction and encouragement for the mission. I will leave you with more questions than answers. This is NOT a book of answers to be memorized before the next exam. You will not be looking for "right" answers, but for what will help you fulfill the work Jesus has given His Church. You will come to OWN the work like no book of answers could ever do for you. I will simply help inform you of some crucial understandings along with essential elements of the Spirit-filled Church. I will offer several possible scenarios and content to stir your thinking for the mission before you, but it is YOU who must take responsibility for your own field churches. You are unique leaders among your own generation, instinctively knowing what to do in your own times and places, like no one else. It's time for Christ's followers among your generation to go forward--TOGETHER--with the mission that God has given you, to the ends of the earth. "IT CAN BE DONE, IT OUGHT TO BE DONE, IT MUST BE DONE" (D.L. Moody). GO!--with your veins pulsing--SURGING--with love for God. And for your generation. Jesus is your Life. Jesus is your Mission.

Mike has followed Christ among this present 20's+30's generation as an evangelist (6 years through CEF) and as youth pastor (11 years at Lockwood Community Church).
