Kenneth Gaye who just turned thirty is having a midlife crisis due to what he perceives as turning old being a queer man. A hopeless romantic with several failed relationships meets a new promising man who quickly falls short of being promising. Conflict arises with loved ones and behaviors that puts him on a self-healing journey.

Kenneth Gaye is having a midlife crisis single at the new age of thirty in his youth obsessed queer world. He is an unemployed hopeless romantic who gave up on finding love. Then a new man enters his life. But history seems to be repeating itself. Kenneth finds himself yet in another toxic relationship as his world is turned upside down by his homophobic father and the crossing of boundaries with his straight roommate. He relies for help on therapy, friends and a doll he believes talks to him. Sex, alcohol and Gelato ice-cream are used to fill a void. A funny, yet meaningful comedy, thirty is fifty in Gaye years is the exploration into the imagination of a complex man who is on a self-healing journey of finding himself and the one.
