Description

I wrote this book for my grandchildren over 21 years ago to give them a logical, realistic perspective on life. Today, my beautiful oldest grandchild is helping me navigate this publishing field. I am so grateful for that, and yes indeed, life is amazing.

---

Things I Wanted You To Know addresses some of the natural curiosities of life that children often have as they start to become their own person. Life can certainly feel overwhelming, but it's important to remember it is also amazing in so many little ways.

This children's book is filled with original, colorful, painted imagery and positive behavior reinforcement with every page turn. It encourages children to not only embrace their individuality, but the world and people around them.

Parents, grandparents, family and friends of all kind can enjoy this book with children in their lives. Whether you use it as an art gallery in your hands, observing the paintings and colors throughout, or to simply read and discuss life, this book is meant to be shared with the ones you love in more ways than one.

“Things I wanted you to know” is a wonderful book. I have just received this book and felt I must write a review. It is one of the most beautiful books I’ve seen. It’s shiny bright and feels so good to touch. The illustrations were the first thing i looked at and they are just so vibrant and appealing to adults and children alike. As for the pictures it’s hard to chose a favourite in this beautifully illustrated book but the cherub on page ten is just adorable. The author is a very talented artist. Now onto the reading of the book. It’s so inclusive, so kind and filled with wonderment and I love the way the author talks to the children and gives them such hope and makes them feel good. Not just children, I feel lighter and happier for having read this book. I adored it and my grandchild is going to love it and will become a much loved book I’m sure. Read more

"Things I Wanted You To Know" is a treasure trove of a book. I just finished reading Charlotte Carney's wonderful illustrated book "Things I Wanted You To Know" for the 3rd time, and with each reading I find something precious and new. Filled with whimsical, original, and colorful paintings and much wisdom, it encourages children to not only embrace their individuality, but the world and people around them. The book is a treasure - not just for children but for adults also. The author and illustrator writes: "I wrote this book for my grandchildren over 21 years ago to give them a logical, realistic perspective on life. Ms. Carney dedicates the book to: "children everywhere who hopefully explore and experience HOW AMAZING LIFE IS! Read more
