Description
Rare early photographs and unique inspirational UNCENSORED interviews with huge Hollywood stars-including BRAD PITT, JOHNNY DEPP, SANDRA BULLOCK, KEANU REEVES, COURTENEY COX, JOSH BROLIN, ROBERT DOWNEY, JR, JOHN CUSACK, HEATHER GRAHAM, DJIMON HOUNSOU, JARED LETO and many more....photographed and interviewed by Photographer NYU Film graduate, Karen Bystedt in the late 1980's and early 90's before these "A" list actors were major stars. Bystedt who at the time was using her maiden name HARDY came up with the concept of photographing and interviewing actors who she felt were "Acting" for the right reasons, who were distinctly different from each-other and who she felt would have long successful careers. She interviewed and photographed these now huge HOLLYWOOD STARS in her studio apartment, on her Hollywood roof top, in the streets and in their apartments. No publicists ever attended the shoots. Her focus was to capture who these actors as artists and the interviews focused their spirituality and dreams and goals. Brad Pitt for instance said that he was at the right place at the right time and that the "Big Guy" was watching over him and admitted that he his goal was to be the "Number one guy" and to pull up Oscar night. Sandra Bullock and Bystedt used to walk their dogs together in LA's Grove area and Sandra would ask Bystedt what Keanu Reeves was like. Bullock always took something positive from every rejection. This book is a must read for any fan and or aspiring artist.

As a child, her family moved so frequently that establishing lasting friendships was impossible, as life continually cast her in the lonesome role of the new girl. In time, however, young Karenʼs refined artistic sensibilities and natural talent with the camera would initiate her into the most exclusive clique of popular kids in the world: the Hollywood “A” list. Her first book was a collection of photos sheʼd taken of male models, but the fashion world that drew in so many photographers couldnʼt hold Karen, whose passion had always been for film. Her next book would feature actors sheʼd handpick, actors never
