By Patricia A. Saunders

View author's profile page

Overview

What happens when you find yourself sitting among the pieces of your life, wondering how you got there? There was faith. There was love. There was deceit, lust, and loss. Through each experience, Patricia A. Saunders discovered painful lessons about love, relationships, self-worth, and the choices that shape our lives. There Is Sunshine After the Rain takes readers on the journey of a young girl growing up in Connecticut as she stumbles, falls, learns, and ultimately comes into her own. Along the way, she begins to understand that the mistakes and disappointments of her past do not have to define her future. Through poetry, faith, reflection, and the lessons learned from life's experiences, she discovers the power to rewrite her story. What once caused her to question whether she was deserving of love becomes part of a deeper understanding of herself, her journey, and the greater possibilities life can hold. This is a story about faith, love, loss, resilience, personal growth, and the courage to begin a new chapter. From the beginning, to the journey, to the test, and ultimately to the testimony, Patricia A. Saunders shares a message of hope for anyone who has ever felt broken by life's circumstances or wondered whether something beautiful could come after the storm. Because there is always a new chapter. There is always another opportunity to grow. And there is always sunshine after the rain.

The last book was inspired from three note cards she received after the passing of her mother when she felt like giving up on life, on the brink of losing her home and being unemployed that encouraged her to live for those who loved her. Her very latest book release by Book Baby Publishing (2017) There Is Sunshine After The Rain was inspired on the tenth anniversary of her Mother’s passing and the reality that with every lesson that she has experienced through life that there is a reason, there are tests that all are faced with, but it’s how you respond. Saunders chose poetry and nonfiction to let the readers know the thought process behind the poetry, tools to help others who may face the same circumstances, and it builds a relationship further between the author and those reading her words. In her spare time, Patricia enjoys writing poetry, traveling, spending time with family and wine tasting.
