There is no age limit to perseverance so this is a book for everyone. There is no gender for resilience so this book is for everyone. There is faith, there is hope and there is love for everyone.

About The Author


Deborah A. Pride is an American author and poet who has been born and raised in New York City. As a young child Deborah enjoyed writing news articles for her elementary school newspaper. In Junior High school, high school and all through university at John jay College of Criminal Justice Deborah, has participated in school wide writing projects. She has received numerous awards and acknowledgements and continues to enjoy her journey through expressive and creative expression.

Deborah enjoys spending time with her beautiful and loving daughter who she credits with starting the best years of her life. She yields from a large family unit of siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins who she also credits with creating a strong foundation in faith. Deborah has a profound affection for her parents Aria E. and Willie D. Pride who has instilled in her the biggest drive to impact and help others. Deborah has dedicated the last 15 years of her life to public service and continues to work within her community.

Then, She Believed was written at a time in Deborah's life where the only motivation to continue through a challenge, came from within. It is Deborah's dream to spread the message of hope. Have faith that you will succeed. Have hope that it will all work out in the end. Have love for one another.
