He is also very much alone and feels he can bring her out of her loneliness by being her regular visitor and become her close friend.

In between helping her with her meals, he loves to talk; she likes to listen. He talks in such a heartfelt way that he thinks he is enabling her to remember and be transported back fifty years to her lost youth and relive the magic that once was.
