Overview
A wizard drags his pipe companion through a portal, to seek out and destroy a lord of the underworld, knowing that if they fail, entire worlds will be shuttered off from each other, overwhelmed by demons forever.
Description
To silence utterers of magic, to expel imps from the nostrils, the wizard's harvest table lists a set of runes as ancient as the secretive mountain kingdom of Lual. They are the kind of runes that heal, summon, banish, possess. But their power has had its day, and entire worlds are starting to fray and fail. Step through a portal and who knows what calamities you might face: demon scourges, undead armies, magical afflictions, dreams and nightmares made real.
About the author
I'm a game designer for Path of Exile, responsible for level layout and world design, along with the environment team at Grinding Gear Games in New Zealand. Since 2000 I was a CG artist, and mostly trained on the job. I also lectured at universities and colleges in Korea, Malaysia, and New Zealand. I wrote two technical books on UDK and 3ds Max in 2012, published by Packt. I still like to produce what artists tend to call 'personal work'. Some of the background radiation informing this book grew out of a script called The Invisible King of the World, about a child goddess chased by a demon. This is my first fantasy novel, and I'd like to invite you to support The Wizard's Harvest Table, an epic journey featuring portals, magical incantations, ruined cities, monsters, minions, corruption, conquest, and demons, lots of demons.
