While there, she befriends a small black cat and someone in the woods... In the first book of the Mara of Fairfield series, four friends must traverse a realm of witches and wizards and come face to face with fantasy come true. Learn about how magic is expressed, friends and enemies can be made, how grief can take over, and how a family's dark past is exposed.

About the author
Chloe London Epright is a teenage author whose debut novel, The Witch Across the Creek, is the first of The Mara of Fairfield Trilogy. Chloe has several novels in the works and looks forward to publishing them in the coming years. Creative by nature, Chloe has been drawing her entire life and recently took part in a young artists workshop at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia focusing on character design. She also won a county teen art award for her linoleum print series entitled "Riding Hood." She hopes that her love of art and literature will continue into college years and adulthood and one day become a full-time novelist. Chloe enjoys reading anything by Rick Riordan, drawing, mythology, hanging out with friends, and cheering for the Phillies. She is rarely seen without headphones and a sketchbook.
