Thanks to her husband’s fascination for her, with great shrewdness she manages to acquire personal power inside the palace and gradually change the Islamic rules of the village. However Zafira, the protagonist, has an indomitable spirit and feels frustrated by a life that, although privileged and luxurious, still deprives her of personal freedom. When she gets the opportunity to run away she does it with no hesitation. Zafira believes she has finally found romantic love and a life free of rules and restrictions. Reality is very different.
