Have you ever wondered what was it like to live in the days when Jesus walked the earth? We marvel at biblical accounts of Jesus feeding the multitudes, raising the dead, healing the sick, casting out demons, walking on the water, etc. It is easy to look back at these and numerous additional acts that our Lord did and daydream about how we would have responded personally. However, there is one particular act that Jesus specifically invites every believer to be a participant in, he says it this way, “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23. The cross must cease from being merely informational and become a personal experience. Jesus made it very clear that every believer must “take up” his own cross!
