The War of the Soul

The War of the Soul is a story of a religious fanatic who fights a spiritual war with his world, in particular, a bullish rival he calls, the Other. It contains over 200 ink wash illustrations, all 150 psalms of the bible and 150 accompanying poems that tell the story.

Dan Joyce is a mentally ill man who is harassed legally and socially causing him to fight for his rights in the 12 step program. A bipolar fine artist of Fullerton, Ca., I was raised by a computer programmer and an amateur artist and housewife. I studied art and writing at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton. I'm a recovering alcoholic and recently a devout Christian. My life and struggles have been both philosophical and psychological, but in spite this, I have a passion for art and writing and a zest for life.
