About the author
Vivian L. Rude (1920-2017) was born in Muskegon and lived in North Muskegon, Michigan most of her life. She held a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Michigan (1942). She and her husband of 70 years, Arthur, had 3 children, 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A lifelong writer, Viv's stories and poems appeared in numerous publications.
