Description
Welcome agility addicts (and want-to-be agility addicts). This is a unique book about the dog sport that you love. After five years of publishing the popular cartoon Our Dog Pack, the resident crew decided to take the leap and write this book which reveals The Truth about Agility. With more than 80 new cartoons and a light-hearted narrative, Kelly, Laurie, and their irreverent dog pack will answer your most pressing questions: What does your agility dog really think about you as an agility trainer? How do you compare to the top agility competitors? What are the six types of agility dogs? How do Labradors turn the A-frame into a slip and slide. And much much more… Put your dog in a down stay and get ready to laugh out loud. You will never see agility in the same way again. PS Our editor, who does not do agility, said she laughed many times while editing. So, if you don't do agility but you love dogs, you will enjoy this book too. Buy two, one for yourself and one for your crazy agility friend.
About the author
If Laurie were a dog, she would clearly be a border collie. Upon retirement from a career in public education, she launched into a new life that centered on dogs. She created a dog humor website, developed an online agility magazine, authored two agility training books, one of which was a finalist as best training book of the year. During all these years, she participated in dog sports including sled dog driving, scent work, and herding. But agility is her true love. She has been a competitor, teacher, and observer of this amazing sport since its early days. Most recently, she decided to become a cartoonist. The result is a cartoon series called Our Dog Pack.
