Overview
Arnold Blue’s life never truly had purpose until the night he robbed his family. Now he is ready for his journey of self-discovery with his only real friend; a fifteen-foot-tall monolith built from the very things he stole.
The book has often been critically compared to a darker version of Dorothy’s trip through the land of Oz.
Description
The Tower of Blue follows the journey of Arnold Blue the child into Arnold Blue the young adult. After uncovering a terrible secret about his family and upbringing, Arnold decides to run away from home, but not before stealing everything from it and inadvertently creating the Tower, a fifteen-foot-tall collection of family belongings inside a shopping cart. Arnold will have to come to grips with ruining his family’s life, while at the same time trying to create a better one for himself. Arnold will have to traverse an ever increasingly dangerous landscape on his way to the mysterious Kingdom, for his actions to mean something. Or die trying.
