The residents include the sheriff at the time of the Massacre, Solomon "Slow Man" Pickett; the deputy sheriff at the time of the Massacre, Sam "Traveling Sam" Key; a storefront preacher, DaVida King; and an embittered community organizer, Brother Sol Reddick.
