The Third Time's the Charm, Right?

Overview

"The Third Time's the Charm, Right?" is a continuation of the author's sequel, "Sometimes You Just Gotta Take a Walk…More: MORE Insights, MORE Observations & MORE Pet Peeves. The book reads like a casual chat with a clever, slightly sarcastic, endlessly observant friend who has something interesting to say about most things. The author turns everyday social-cultural moments into witty reflections that are relatable, thought-provoking, and frequently chuckle-inducing. The storytelling is conversational and genuine and, as with the author's first book and sequel, he's not afraid to poke fun at himself, society, or the absurdities we all quietly notice but rarely admit out loud. The variety of topics and mercifully short prose is engaging; it is perfect for reading a few entries at a time or you can devour it cover-to-cover. The author's commentary spans nostalgia, culture, social quirks, aging, family dynamics, and those tiny frustrations we all experience but never quite articulate the way he does. His voice is authentic, warm, and unmistakably unique. The humor lands, the insights linger, and the personal moments add a surprising depth that sneaks up on you in the best possible way. The memoir-style observations, sharp humor, and wit without pretension, make this the best complement to the author's first two publications.

About The Author

Steven G. Rose is the number one bestselling author (within his household!) of "Sometimes You Just Gotta Take a Walk: Insights, Observations & Pet Peeves" and "Sometimes You Just Gotta Take a Walk...More: MORE Insights, MORE Observations & MORE Pet Peeves." He" was born in Detroit and raised in the suburbs where he developed a strong love for sports. Those interests are wide-ranging and fanciful, much like his dream of the Detroit Lions playing in a Super Bowl. After finding his jam writing about the inane and mundane of everyday life—including topics you may find interesting—Rose expanded his debut with the "…More" sequel and most recently with "The Third Time's the Charm, Right?" When he's not writing in his favorite local libraries, Steve spends most of his time not cooking, not traveling the world, not training for an Ironman Triathlon and not dreaming of the next winter weather advisory. Before finishing business school, Rose was a resident athlete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He retired from a career in the financial institutions industry. He and his wife of 40 years continue to make their home in Michigan.
