Overview
The Sun Still Shines is an inspirational book for children who have lost a parent. It's ok to be sad, angry, and confused, but it is also essential to know that God will always provide comfort and guidance. We are never alone when we trust in God, and with Him, our darkest days will begin to shine brightly once again.
Description
"The Sun Still Shines" is an inspirational keepsake book written for children ages 3 to 103 who have experienced the loss of a parent. It's ok to be sad, angry, and confused, but it is also essential to know that God will always provide hope and guidance. When we lose a parent through death, there is an undeniable void that seems impossible to fill. The world changes. Circumstance's change. We change. There is but one constant in this life. God is always with you. He will strengthen, comfort, and love you. He will fill your heart with beautiful memories of your parent. God will carry you through this and show you the sun still shines!
About the author
Ms. Jill was born in 1960. That was a long time ago! Even though she is as old as your grandma (she goes by Nana), sometimes she acts like a seven-year-old. She loves traveling to faraway places, volunteering at church, planning events, entertaining family and friends, singing and dancing, playing games, crafting, decorating, and taking lots of pictures ("Say Cheeeese!"). Her favorite food is chocolate chip cookies, and she eats way too many of them. Ms. Jill has been writing stories, poetry, slogans, and commercials for as long as she can remember but feels like this is just the beginning. Ms. Jill lives in Sugar Land, Texas, with her awesome husband, Alan, and their adorable (and spoiled) MaltiPoo, Bailey. They have five grown children, one son-in-love, two daughters-in-love, and four precious grandchildren. "God has blessed me beyond measure," says Ms. Jill. "He gave me two extraordinary guardian angels in Heaven—my mom and dad."
