CONTRIBUTOR BIO:
Prior to January 9, 2017, Mia was a vibrant nurse and known around town for her unique crochet designs. However, life took a tragic turn for Mia when she suffered a massive stroke that left her disabled, but not discouraged. Today, as a result of learning to be grateful in all things, she continues to make progress. She is back to crocheting only this time she uses her non-dominant left hand and left knee. She and Myrtle are sharing their story of hope with anyone who has faced a life-changing event or merely in search for a heathier way to cope with the everyday challenges of life.
