Overview
In this first book of The Snow Kingdom series, we find Sasha, a beautiful white Siberian Husky puppy, and her brothers being auctioned off to new masters at the family farm. Unfortunately, Sasha is sold to “Grubby,” an abusive and neglectful owner. While she loves Grubby's daughter, Penny, Sasha is determined to escape Grubby's house to the fabled Siberian Husky “Snow Kingdom” in the mountains. For anyone who loves "Charlotte's Web" or "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," you'll love The Snow Kingdom. Compelling characters, witty dialogue, and a well-crafted story (with more than 20 beautiful interior illustrations), make the book a page-turner. Before you know it, you'll be wanting to join Sasha on the next leg of her journey -- "The Snow Kingdom: Sasha Goes To College" (Book 2).

About the author
After working in the entertainment industry for many, many, perhaps far too many years, D. L. Fox and her husband decided to pick up and relocate to the Carolinas. One of her first priorities was to purchase a Siberian Husky puppy. During her long walks with “Yuri,” she noticed how many poor dogs were neglected by their owners, and chained to backyard trees all day – sometimes in 100+ degree heat. The idea for “The Snow Kingdom” book series was born! Inspired by the unbreakable bond between D. L. Fox and her best friend, Yuri, she sought to tell stories with a female heroine, who overcomes life's obstacles with love, family, friendship and self-determination.
