The Six-Day War in Creationism
A New Critique of the Young Earth Reform Movement and Its Excesses
by Gene Nouhan

Overview

Amazon's # 1 NEW RELEASE on Creationism, January 15, 2024

ENDORSMENTS:

"This book focuses on the plan of God, the centrality of the Incarnation…This is not what you would expect and sorely needed to put issues like these into perspective. This volume is well worth your time, especially if you have any questions about creation. It is written in easy to understand terms." Joseph Tkach

The information within this volume ought to be understood by more people, especially Christian pastors, youth leaders, Christian school administrators, and others in Christian ministry. Kristine Johnson, Amazon Reviewer

“This book is like a series of hammer blows that knocks down one wrong idea after another.” Michael Morrison President and Professor of New Testament Grace Communion Seminary

"This is not just about the age of the earth but a whole theological movement... I like [Nouhan’s] concluding remarks very much: solid orthodoxy about eternal life through union with Christ." Phillip Cary, Scholar-in-Residence at Templeton Honors College, Editor of Pro Ecclesia

“I've been wanting a book like this for years. It explains the vital theological meaning of the Bible's creation accounts (including Genesis 2 and 3). I recommend it highly.“ Ted Johnston, Faculty member and Publications Editor at Grace Communion Seminary

Description

Many in The Young Earth Reform Movement believe 1. If the earth is old, God is a liar; 2. If the earth is old, the Bible is unreliable, and 3. Literalizing Genesis 1-11 is the key to reforming the Church and culture.

This book is comprehensive with over 500 footnotes from the best scholars, theologians, philosophers, and scientists, past and present, from Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Protestantism, Evangelicalism, and Judaism.

After reading this new critique, you will never look at the issues in Creationism the same way.

About the author

During the historic changes in the Worldwide Church of God, Gene Nouhan wrote peer-reviewed studies, spoke at conferences, served as a Senior Pastor, and with many other colleagues, helped move that fringe group to an orthodox Christianity.

It turned out that untangling a denomination's self-styled theology was good preparation for reassessing the overreach of the Young Earth Reform Movement that persecutes other Christians.

With thirty-five years of education in Theology, Biblical Scholarship, and Philosophy, Gene became the Director of Apologetics for Reasonable Faith in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he has taught Classical Apologetics.
