Valerie E. Wilson, author of The Singer, was born in Youngstown, Ohio, in 1951. She presently lives in the county area of St. Louis, Missouri. She discovered early that she had a talent for writing poetry and songs. She worked with bands as a keyboardist and lead singer for many years. Later she decided to write this novel based on her quest in life to become successful in the music business.
