Overview
The Second Coming is set in rural Michigan and explores community culture and religious beliefs. The Grandmother is a philosophical thinker that toys with the fundamental religious beliefs of much of her family and the community. Her conversations are frustrating to family and clergy alike as she verbally plays with their beliefs. By a single ambiguous declaration at the starting of a church service, she allows them to be self lured into believing the second coming of Christ is about to happen. Multiple families retreat to a large house to wait for the coming. Eventually the whole wait unravels.
