About The Author
Michele Farinaccio is a wife, full-time working mom of three toddlers, and a third-generation member of a family-owned scaffolding company founded by her grandfather in 1978. A graduate of Marist University, she began her career in television production and has now spent close to two decades in the scaffolding industry, helping carry forward her family's legacy in construction.
The inspiration for her debut children's book came during bedtime with her son, when she realized that while there were countless books about trucks and construction vehicles, none focused on scaffolding—despite its vital role in building access and safety. So, she decided to write the book she couldn't find.
Through colorful characters and a teamwork-driven story, Michele's book introduces young readers to the often-overlooked world of scaffolding, shining a light on the hidden heroes of the jobsite—and inspiring the next generation to see construction from a whole new perspective.
