Born and raised in the rolling hills of southern Indiana, Elaine is a true country girl at heart. In addition to writing, she enjoys the countryside, nature hikes, gardening, animals, home décor, design, oldies, and classical music. She is a mother to two and a Nana to 4 awesome grandkids, all of whom she adores. She has been writing as a hobby for about 20 years and has created a personal collection of children's stories, poetry, and short stories. It wasn't until she retired, however, that she took on the task of finishing her first novel, "The Sargasso Secret." She started writing the story about 15 years ago but laid it aside due to work demands. Elaine hopes that everybody enjoys reading this great story as much as she enjoyed writing it. She finds writing fiction exuberating because she loves the challenge of making the unbelievable 'believable,' and plans to write two more novels soon.
