The Remorseful Robber

Christopher Piantedosi became an overnight media sensation dubbed "The Remorseful Robber" when in 2011 he snatched a woman's purse at a Market Basket in Plaistow, New Hampshire, then a few days later returned the contents, along with a note of apology, to the woman at her home. The surveillance photo of him hit the internet and media, and the house of cards that was his life spiraled out of control, ending in murder. This is the story of his life, in his own words.
