When Gisselle, a misguided witch with green skin and a bad attitude follows a rainbow into the center of town for a pot of gold at the rainbow's end, she is scorned and laughed at for being a fool. In a fit of anger she curses the town by stealing all the colors of the rainbow, leaving behind a grim and colorless village. Over time the people of Uppygoo have become accustomed to their dull and colorless lives, but in the process have developed a deep fear and mistrust of anyone with green skin. But an unlikely friendship is formed between a village boy and a kind witch.
