The Puzzling Perfume Plot

It might sound glamorous for your family to own a perfume company, but 13-year-old Bria is fed up with her mom's hectic work schedule and constant pressure to join the family business. While her mom is off on a remote island sourcing new scents, Bria's expected to solve a series of puzzles meant to hone her skills in perfume making. She works through the riddles, only to be confronted with an unsettling scene. Why would her neatnik mom leave her desk a mess? And why is her sweater on the chair and the photo of them turned sideways? Even her mom's super-short texts are unsettling, but Bria's aunt is sure everything is fine. When Bria finds a book in some kind of code, she asks her new friend, Henry, for help. As they work through more puzzles, they find themselves dragged deeper and deeper into a plot that's almost impossible to believe. Bria must use all her puzzling skills to sniff out the truth about her mom's trip, before it's too late.
