Overview
Pop stardom is in demand more now than ever before, but the path to stardom is still one of the biggest mysteries to the average artist. Finally there is a guide that focuses on what artists really want; stardom. Find out the secrets behind every major pop superstar, what they all have in common and what you need to join them!
Description
The demand for pop stardom is at fever pitch, while schools and colleges are now teaching music business related courses there is still no course for what most artists really want, pop stardom! Is it luck, talent or who you know? How do you achieve pop stardom? Other than entering a TV talent contest there has been an absence of direction for the average artist, but not anymore! While most music industry books focus on marketing, contracts and the workings of the music industry, until now there hasn’t been a guide that lists the actual attributes shared by all the major pop superstars, which any prospective music star will need to have as a part of their arsenal. Talent and looks are great, who you know will get you in the door, but you will soon find out that you need to separate yourself from a congested market of talented and good looking competition. The Popstars Handbook starts by actually analysing what a pop star really is, and then step by step it lists the attributes needed for an artist to become a star in this changing music environment. Organised into 3 straight forward categories (The 3D’s) The Popstars Handbook will make an artist’s journey straightforward and certain, finally listing exactly what an artist should be doing to achieve the holy grail of pop stardom.
About the author
Trevor Fisher was born in London in 1970 and was immediately immersed in music. His father being a guitarist and singer, his brother, aunts and uncles also musicians it was no surprise when he also chose music as his career path. The former Warner Brother’s recording artist and MOBO Award winner first began writing when he noticed an alarming amount of young artists and musicians besieging him for advice on how to succeed into the music industry. He began by writing & delivering accredited courses and quickly found his speciality in artist development. After years as a music business consultant Trevor thought it was time to put his experience down in a book to give the straight forward facts on what an artist really needs in this new musical environment. Trevor is the father of two daughters and is a reggae and Latin music fan, which could be down to his Jamaican heritage and the fact his began his musical journey as a Latin percussionist.
