Description

Join the adventure as a tea party on the beach takes an unexpected turn, with a naughty seagull swooping in to snatch a cup from a little girl's favorite birthday present, a red glass tea set. When the seagull drops the teacup, it crashes onto the sea rocks, and a dazzling piece of sea glass emerges. Delve into the underwater world where sea residents are captivated by the mysterious red object that some will own for a little while. You will meet the 'good guys" and the "bad guys", and a charming turtle who is building his dream house with the pieces of sea glass he has been collecting. A surprising twist of fate decades later on the sandy shore will bring a happy smile to your face. Colorful illustrations by the author remind us of beautiful sunny days on the beach and have been created to please both children and adults.

About The Author

Artist Anna K. Continos grew up in New York City, but has lived in New Jersey for most of her life. Her watercolor paintings hang on walls all over the world, and in several large corporations. A house on the beach has been the "go to" place for four generations of her family during the summer, for over forty years and beach combing is a favorite activity for young and old. These early morning walks inspired her to write her first book, Libi and Bili go to the Kite Festival. Her second book about the journey of a piece of sea glass over several decades is also a result of those sweet memories. Colorful illustrations remind us of beautiful, sunny days at the beach, and are loved by children and adults.
