About The Author

Virginia Clay has been a lifelong lover of the arts. She attended The Academy of Theatrical Arts in New York and has performed on stage throughout her early career. This led to her becoming Entertainment Manager and Talent Buyer for Caesars in Atlantic City, New Jersey. "The Mysterious Tale of the Wig Willys" is Virginia's first children's book. The idea to write this tale presented itself over 30 years ago. Her "encounter" with a Wig Willy happened in the morning when she heard her calico kitten, Celeste, darting around the living room, bouncing into furniture, causing havoc. When looking out to see what was going on, she witnessed Celeste chasing something....or so it seemed, and "The Mysterious Tale of the Wig Willys" was born. She is now focused on writing and enjoying retirement. Living at the New Jersey shore, she delights in nature walks, spending time with her grandchildren, and of course, hanging out with her beloved pets.
