Gary Miranda was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He has published poetry in numerous magazines, including The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, Poetry, American Poetry Review, and elsewhere. His poetry is widely anthologized and has been taped for inclusion in Harvard University's Lamont Poetry Collection and in the Library of Congress Poetry Archive. Miranda has taught creative writing and literature at various colleges and universities, including as a Fulbright Lecturer at the University of Athens in Greece and as poet-in-residence at Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
