About the author

ERIC TRUEHEART has been writing in the zone called "Kidspace" for nearly 20 years, despite his best intentions., and he's made animated creatures talk for every major — and minor — kids' network in town. He started on Nickelodeon's original cult hit, Invader ZIM, wrote for Disney XD's BAFTA-nominated Yin Yang Yo, helped Dreamworks develop the feature film Turbo into the first animated series for Netflix — garnering it a Daytime Emmy nomination in the process. He also spent time in sketch comedy, but took a shower afterwards. Along the way he sold pilots to Cartoon Network, Disney, SyFy, and even Spike. (Remember them?) Eric grew up in fabulous Rochester, NY — for no reason he's ever been able to figure out — and has lived in the greater Los Angeles area for so long he can't remember what real life looks like.
