Things were going great for Picklehead Jones, the world's greatest (and only) mutant pickle superhero…until they weren't. For starters, a shady newspaper executive has turned half the town against him. As if that wasn't bad enough, a newfound controversy has put him (and his moody tween sidekick Piehead Pete) on trial for the destruction of the Dill Hills Pie Shop. All of this is happening while a terrifying new threat lurks in the shadows, with a heavy grudge against Picklehead Jones…and a plan that could mean total a-pickle-ypse. It all started when a good-natured but incompetent scientist named Percy D. Jones had his genes spliced with a pickle in a crazy experiment. Ever since, he's been trying his best to protect his town of Dill Hills from evil and injustice with the help of his trusty sidekick and kind-of-son, Piehead Pete. But after a shady newspaper executive with a bad temper makes it his duty to ruin PJ's reputation, public outcry causes Picklehead Jones and Piehead Pete to find themselves fighting for their freedom in a court of law. This is far from the most dangerous threat the delicious duo will have to face, however. A powerful and mysterious masked figure has appeared in Dill Hills who evidently has one goal—to wipe out Picklehead Jones once and for all. Will Picklehead Jones be able to face his first real threat? Or will he end up as a jar of relish?
