Description
The Long Hall takes the reader into a psychiatric hospital unit where the conditions were less than ideal. The physical environment was unsanitary and unfortunately, understaffed. Along the hallway there were landscape photographs of Vermont that Jodi "jumped into" and created stories about meeting her husband in the beautiful seasons of Vermont. The images and poetic verse captivates readers and helps others understand what it is like to struggle with mental health conditions while seeking treatment. This is an emotional experience with a love story element that helps Jodi want to continue to live and return to her life.
