THE LONG GAME

Lessons from four decades in the brand trenches that will make YOU a better

By ROBERT MAZZUCCHELLI

Overview

Learn how great brands like Apple, Coca-Cola, Airbnb, LEGO, Starbucks, Netflix and many others have developed legions of devoted consumer followers - who are also life-long brand advocates - and built assets that drive billions of dollars in revenue annually. See why great brands think long term, and treat every consumer interaction like a make-or-break event, paying meticulous attention to every detail, and telling a consistent brand story year after year. In THE LONG GAME, seasoned brand storyteller and marketer, Robert Mazzucchelli, tells how great brands become great. He explains, in painstaking detail, why message discipline and sticking with a brand story over decades produces far greater results than frequent pivots, twists and turns in the brand narrative. In addition to step-by-step instructions for brand building, you will learn the pitfalls and consequences of taking shortcuts or falling into the trap of thinking that creating hype or short-term sales traction will automatically lead to building your brand. For forty years, Mazzucchelli has been an evangelist for building brands as assets and long-term economic engines. By the end of this book, you will know all the fundamentals needed to put THE LONG GAME to work for your brand.

About The Author

ROBERT MAZZUCCHELLI is an entrepreneur who has worked in small and big companies, both private and public. He has advised some of the greatest brands in the world and nurtured his own brands over four decades. From starting his first marketing company in 1987 to his current roles as founder, chairman and chief marketing officer of SportsEdTV (a leader in the online sports education business) and chairman of Crosscourt Advisors (an advisory firm helping companies and brands solve problems related to growth and opportunity), Robert has worked behind the scenes of the brand world helping develop strategies and executions that stimulate growth. He has been fortunate to have learned from some exceptional marketing leaders and has met many others that could never seem to understand or execute the right formula to build their brands. The invaluable lessons he's taken away from his experiences are the subject of THE LONG GAME, which he wrote to explain how great, long-lasting, multi-generational brands get built, and how you can build one yourself. Before becoming a marketing leader, advisor and author, Robert attended the University of Richmond, where he earned a degree in economics and communication. He was captain of the men's tennis team at Richmond and briefly played tennis professionally. Direct all speaking and consulting inquiries to robert@crosscourtadvisors.com
