About the author

Jesse is a lifelong motorcyclist, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and father of two great kids. He’s travelled through most of the lower 48 United States on a motorcycle (and some of Canada, too).

Jesse grew up on a steady diet of fiction, fantasy, mythology, folklore, horror stories, and role playing games. These stories and experiences helped to shape his love for the dark and dystopian worlds that became the inspiration for his debut novel The Long Cold Ride.

When he’s not carving up quiet country roads (or choking his friends) he enjoys a dark, rainy night, a good book, and a huge cup of never-ending coffee.

The Long Cold Ride
by Jesse H. Gray

Overview

The continent of Arimetria is dark and dangerous place, speckled with beacons of light known as the territories. It's the world in between where the Rider thrives, balancing on a knife's edge between life and death. Sought for his services, and respected for his lethality, he becomes unwillingly drawn into a blood sport known as the Gauntlet, setting into motion a destiny he never dreamed possible.

With the most important race on the continent looming, a former grand champion turns up dead, a secretive organization asserts their influence, and the only thing the Rider cares about is taken from him.

From the white cliffs of Clutchaven and the ancient darkness of the Fallow Woods, to the frigid peaks of Magneto Mountain and the bustling tent city of the Gauntlet grounds, all paths are rife with danger and deception. With everything on the line, will the Rider turn toward the light or follow the path into darkness?
