About the author

Charles Tazewell was born in Iowa in 1900 and lived into his early seventies. During his lifetime, he enjoyed the success and recognition that his story The Littlest Angel brought him, witnessing numerous book printings over the years. The Littlest Angel began as a script for a radio show in 1939 but was not broadcast until a few years later. First published in book form with original illustrations in 1946, The Littlest Angel was also published three years later by Coronet magazine. Loved by children for more than half a century, Charles Tazewell’s story has been illustrated, animated and performed numerous times since its first appearance.
