About The Author

Mindy Cabral, known in the classroom as "Miss Mindy," is a music educator, performer, and founder of Little School of Music. She studied trumpet performance at The Juilliard School in New York and the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles, and has performed with orchestras, touring productions, recording sessions, and artists across the United States and internationally. In 2005, she founded Little School of Music, which has grown into an accredited and nationally recognized music school serving thousands of students and mentoring music educators throughout California and beyond. Mindy is an Orff Schulwerk Master Teacher, an early childhood music specialist, and a member of the Royal Conservatory of Music College of Examiners. Her Once Upon a Tune stories were inspired by years of classroom storytelling, where musical ideas come alive through imagination, movement, and play. Through her books, Mindy hopes to help families and teachers introduce children to music in ways that spark creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
