About the author
A bona-fide life crisis survivor, CJ Schepers is a professional ghostwriter, book editor, and former religion reporter. Through her journey, she’s experienced many of life’s biggest lumps in one long, relentless stretch, including a violent childhood and her mother’s death at fifteen; teen pregnancy, divorce, and single parenthood; debilitating chronic pain and disability; unemployment, financial failure, and more. All of this led her into deep waters of depression and despair. Ultimately, it was the words of others, and then her own, that became the literal lifeline—back to herself. CJ’s purpose is to give us hope. Hope in our darkest moments, and our loneliest, most terrifying junctures.
She has two groovy daughters and three spunky g-kids, and lives in Santa Monica with her partner Ted and their crazy, adorable cats. CJ’s current passion is Blackcat-Whitecat: The Interdimensional Tails, a sci-fi fantasy book series that she’s co-writing with her very first cat Emma (who currently resides on “the other side”).
