Cerita D. Bethea is a native of Chicago, Illinois. A lover of all things small, she enjoys miniature dollhouse design in her spare time almost as much as she enjoys spending time with her husband, Bernard. Her inspiration comes from her three children, now young adults: Candace, Christopher, and Catherine. Each of them asked Cerita at some point in their early years why they had to follow rules. This age-old question inspired Cerita to write a book to help dispel the mystery of why rules are important, and The Land of No Rules was created. It has been shared with many other children over the years to talk about virtues with a touch of humor. At the very least, it may serve as an alternative to the age-old parental response of "because I said so!"
