Joshua Caines was born in Toronto, Canada, and spent much of his younger years moving from place to place. Along the way, he gathered countless experiences, met people from all walks of life, and created memories that would quietly shape the stories he would one day tell.
Over the years, Joshua worked many different jobs and volunteered where possible, always searching for a sense of purpose and fulfillment. In his youth, he joined the military, embracing the opportunity to travel, experience the world, and broaden his understanding of people and cultures. Those experiences deepened his appreciation for the stories carried by others and inspired a lifelong desire to continue exploring forgotten places, helping where he can, and creating new memories wherever life may lead.
Writing began as a personal refuge—a way to step beyond the noise of everyday life and find comfort in imagination. What started as an escape soon became a source of healing, peace, and self-discovery. Through storytelling, Joshua found himself weaving pieces of the people he has met, the places he has seen, and the emotions he has carried into worlds of wonder and adventure.

When he isn't writing, Joshua enjoys dreaming of future travels, discovering new cultures, and spending time with his loyal companion, Rosco, whose spirit and companionship have inspired far more than he realizes.
